A day of remembrance and reflection for sure.

We went to the local annual Veteran's Day Parade yesterday and enjoyed the crowd.?ÿ The only casualty was an older lady that was blown over by the prop wash when the NG landed a CH47 in the park and she ventured a little too close to get a pic with her phone.?ÿ She bumped her head and was whisked away by the EMTs.?ÿ I think she'll survive.

And there was at least one WWII vet in attendance.?ÿ

I made my way through the crowd to tell him I "appreciated his service"...to which he pointed out his U.S. lapel medallion and said proudly "Army!"...I realized he had thought I asked what branch of service...?ÿ?ÿ

Judging from his hearing I'm guessing artillery. ??ÿ

Nonetheless it was good to see him?ÿin attendance.?ÿ
