It seems crazy that I have to bring this up, but our Community Rules and Terms of Use apply to private messaging as well. It has been brought to my attention that a user was privately messaging other users, attempting to sell his services.
If you receive private messages, forum replies, emails or any other solicitations from other users of SurveyorConnect, please report them to me. They will be dealt with (banned) swiftly. This is the kind of stuff that pisses me off. I'm all about protecting the privacy of our members here and I want you to feel comfortable visiting without getting spammed to death. It's also not fair to the advertisers that DO actually pay for advertising here, which helps keep this website online, updated, maintained, hosted, and secure. Even our advertisers are not allowed to solicit via private messaging.
What this person and other persons before him would do is seek out forum topics that apply to the products and/or services he sells, then send private messages to prospective customers. This is solicitation in its truest form and it is NOT ALLOWED here.
Your reports to me about ANY behavior that violates our Community Rules are EXTREMELY helpful and very welcomed. I don't want anyone to feel like they are pestering me when reporting these problems -- you aren't pestering me, you are helping me and everyone else that uses this website. So THANK YOU to those who already report problems to me and THANK YOU to everyone that is about to start. 🙂
