You will also pick how many games are played (a number being equal to or greater than 4 and equal to or less than 7). Finally, you'll pick the score of the winning team for the final game of the tournament, regardless of how many games they play

according to the rules that you posted in the orignl thread. NOBODY won since the winning score was not chosen/guessed by anyone...
but if one wants to examine the intent of the original rules, one could say that Mr. JHAM won because he had Miami in 5 with tha score of 103 which was the closest posted score to the actual winning score whihc was 123.
BUT according to the way one wants to interpret the rules, then Joe Ferg got the closest to guessing th score of the Heat with 110 points even though he guessed a 7 game series. Hey.. you used the term 'regardless' in the rules.....
So it is either JHAM won
or JHAM and Joe Ferg won together
or
JHam, HOLY COW, Rich Leu, Far Sites and Joe Ferg won together.
or nobody won since nobody picked the score of the winning team.I hope this straightens things out for you.

I'm thinking most of us knew that the "Price is Right" rules applied here (Closest to the correct score 'without going over' (which, by the way I am not a fan of. Closest to the score is fine for me)), and I would call JHAM the winner based on that knowledge.

Yes.. I thought that JHAM was the winner also but I read the rules and it is very explicit about the criteria for the winner. 😉

If you ignore the rules then Jham is the winner.

I should have taken that part out. I posted the rules from last years contest, but I meant to edit that out because it's much easier for us to do it by the # of games won and whoever guesses the score or closest to the score without going over. When I posted that I was dead tired!! My bad!! :'(
Anyhow, I need three winners. 1st, 2nd, 3rd. I want everyone to be in agreeance before we decide on the 3 winners. And Joe Ferg will get a prize, too!! Cause we love him and Jane very much!! :love:
