Hello! My name is Jocelyn - I'm a recently-licensed surveyor in central CA. Looking forward to making some new survey connections, and hopefully "seeing" some familiar faces.

Welcome Jocelyn, and yes congrats on passing your Cali Exam. They have a pretty good one IMHO... Now you have joined the elite ranks of those who can be sued for their opinions. On a side topic of discussion. The Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon Virtual conference is going on right now and one of the side discussions is to tally the number of female PLS's in the state. I think the discussion participants have come to a close estimate of 36 Female Oregon Surveyors. I imagine you are in a rather small pool of female individuals in California as well but hopefully, there will be many more to come in the future. Cheers.

Welcome to the club. Less than 10,000 members since 1891.

I got my license 34 years ago last Saturday. I once saw a show about lottery winners. One of them said "You eventually get used to having the money, but you never get over the excitement of having won." I still feel that way about getting that letter in the mail all those years ago.
