I was away from the house checking on my travel trailer and some other business when I get a call from Oklahoma City PD standing in my living room at 10:30 AM. Not a nice thing to happen. Luckily the laptop and a flat screen TV(not the big monsters) are all I can find missing, so far. The real problem is replacing or rebuilding the front door and door frame.
The neighbors across the street spotted them and called the PD. They also spooked them. The spun gravel leaving my driveway. Then the Brazen Twosome did the same thing with the same results in a house 1 block north of mine, probably while the PD was in mine.
I HATE AND DESPISE a thief.
Just think, they might get $100 for the laptop and tv. I may be high on that estimate? A firearm would have been a better catch for the thieves. Hell! If you would have had some beer in the refrigerator they would at least gotten a buzz. Yea, I hate thieves too!

I absolutley hate a thief. If I ever catch someone in my house or office like that, there is only one way they are leaving.
The person who owns the laptop made a comment when I talked to him that if I had been home OKC would have been short two burglars. But then if I had been home they might have just went on by to my neighbors house and I could have used my BB bat on them so they could spend some time "feeling my pain" while spending time in the pen. That sure does sound like it would have been fun.
I have two laptop computers that are worthless to anyone except for me; I would hate to lose them. One is an 8 year old 17" hp and the other is a 5 year old 15" hp.

A few years back thieves smashed a door window on the work truck while the crew was at lunch and stole a tool bag of instrument batteries, adapters, and cables. I'm sure they got absolutely nothing for it. Tweakers.
Cost me a $1000 deductible, half a day of work, plus numerous hassles. The cops were sympathetic, but powerless.
I am a real believer in cowboy justice.
I had the opportunity to bash a thief once. Was actually a drunk, bum thief. But I caught him in my vehicle diggin' through my center console. SO I took a bag I had and bashed on the back. He screamed and hollered about me hurting him. No sympathy here. Told him to call the cops. He didn't get anything so I drove off. Not sure what he did, but I know for sure he remembers the pain!
I also agree to thieves... forget the court system. Just cut the fingers or hands off!
