I would like to preface this post with the fact that I have been lurking on this website for the past 5 years or so. I have learned a lot from the conversions I have viewed on this forum. A lot of smart people here. I am a mapping professional of sorts and have done a lot of conservation and agricultural infrastructure projects in NY & PA (mostly in NY now). I have done quite a bit topo surveying and stakeout, GPS & GIS mapping. Worked with dairy and crop producers using GPS (precision agriculture) and variable rate integration on farms. Also had a short stint of doing LiDAR classification and photogrammetry work. I would not call myself a surveyor of any sorts, but have a lot of respect for all that surveying does (as well as the other mapping professionals out there). Thanks for letting me look over your shoulders on this board for such a long time and looking forward to maybe passing along some of the things I have learned.

Got a degree in Forestry/Wood Products Engineering from Environmental Science & Forestry in Syracuse. The forestry gig up here in NY has been a little rough the past decade. So, agriculture kind of found me, I have meet some great people and seen a lot of different farms in the past 12 years or so.

30 degrees in Arkansas this morning.

Stove is going.

I fed the ducks and chickens extra corn this morning. Welcome to this forum. There's more ahead, in surveying, than we yet have imagined.

Nice, Naples is a nice town, always like getting down around the south end of Canandaigua; the drive down 21 is always very scenic.
