I have used both a Wild T3 (a lot) and a Kern DKM-3 (a few times). I always liked the DKM-3 because of the "broken telescope". The eyepiece is on the side, always horizontal. Great for steep sights. Also smaller and lighter than a T3, but I never had them both at the same time to compare exactly how much. Easier to do astro obs with the Kern, in my opinion.?ÿ
I have a T3, although I hardly ever get it out anymore. A couple of years ago I bought a T3000, even less reason now to get out the T3.?ÿ
