I actually signed up for the forum a couple of years ago, but have been too preoccupied to spend much time here. Things are slowing down now, so here I am again.
Jake.
Welcome back, Jake. Which corner of the State? Are you an expert noodler or a prairie dog hater?

I've lived in Central Oklahoma for the last 20 years or so. South Central before that. Pretty much a pencil pusher now. I've left the hard work to the younger guys.
G'mornin' Jake. Looking forward to you sharing some of your experience with us all here.
Maybe you two are neighbors.

Maybe, but I don't think so. Unless he's a crazy college kid or one of the Garcias a couple of doors down that have been keeping a low profile since the last national election.

I'm neither of those, but all surveyors in Oklahoma are neighbors, to some extent. I think we would know one another, if you're who I think you are. We certainly have commonality in our past acquaintances.

Are we the only Okies on this forum? I did a search for "Oklahoma", and you're the only one I saw.
Welcome back, Jake!
Welcome!

There's a couple here and there. A few folks that live elsewhere maintain an Oklahoma license are also spattered about here on this site. One Okie that comes to mind posts as "Beer Legs" and I've always wondered who it was. For a while I thought he use to work for me, but that didn't pan out. I guess that's the beauty of using a pseudonym!
Fellow Okie here. Welcome Jake.
Mark Mayer is an Okie ;-).
I think he is from Portland-Oregon, OK.

Well, I'm not exactly hiding from anyone...except the government. If anyone really needs to know my real name, I'm sure they can find out, easily enough.

Thanks, Mike. I'm really more of a reader than a writer, and I don't know how much time I'll really spend here, but it's great to see what other surveyors are talking about, and since I'm not as busy as I'd like to be, I thought I might as well keep up with all the new technology and what not.

Do you happen to know how much avgas is nowadays? 😉

I am a mere carpet-bagger. Norman Oklahoma, now there's a real Okie for you.
Oklahoma was my 3rd license.
Now I live in OKC and work wherever out of my RV Trailer.
I survived a few nights in McCurtain County chasing riparian boundaries for Weyerhaeuser between Broken Bow Lake and De Queen Lake...Kiamichi to Ouachita

Another Oklahoma surveyor here. This is my first post, but I've been hanging around here for awhile.
