The button in the bottom right corner has me confused.

It has 2 horiz lines on it.

What does it do??? 😉

Not only that, but if you turn the calculator 90 degrees those lines actually become double vertical lines...What's w/that?

Unfortunately most people will not understand the term beer legs but will understand the word beer so it will be tough to wear any such apparel at a job site or at the office. I'm sure you can come up with something tasteful to avoid that but my suggestion is a heavy beer mug with custom etching. I found this site (link below) so there are likely many others.

And it fits in with the feel of this website. Something that you can sit down to after a long day , fill up the mug with your favorite beverage and shoot the breeze with friends. My favorite mugs were the ones they used to have a A&W for root beer floats. They kept the beverage frosty to the last drop.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to mention that "BEERLEG" would not be understood, did you ever have many of them after your first?

Deral,
Those mugs are the same the ASPS student chapter sold as a 'bottom-less' mug at the ASPS conference (we can't hold conventions anymore...too rowdy) and short courses for about 10 years. Sold them for $20 and used the 'vendor's' kegs to keep them wet. It helped 'de-fray' the costs of being a student of surveying...and a wonderful time to meet their future employers. (Nothing like keeping the boss' beer mug full).

Alas...Political correction caught up with us. Now the students sell hats and tee shirts and other trinkets.

I'll bet a tee shirt that said "Ask me about my last Beer Leg" would get the conversation started! After all...we need to communicate.

What type of merchandise tickles your fancy?T

T-shirts, high quality like Hanes

Made in America if you can

Hats would be second option, then decals.

Yes, I am going to make every effort to find American made goods, whenever possible. 🙂

Wendell,

On the issue of T-shirts, I just need to have like a 3X. At least 80% cotton. I'm not really a pocket guy either. Small chest logo and large back one is my preference.

And in your catalog, this type of hat is more to my liking. Unstructured and flex fit.

Here are the hats that I have for my promo schwag. They are Port Authority, but the tag says "Made in Bangladesh".

Good news! John Giles and I have connected in order to make some products happen. I would much rather give business to a fellow surveyor than some slob I don't even know. I sent him the design and he is working on getting it ready for print. Meanwhile, we are working on details, such as the brand of shirt, quality, etc.

To save on costs, I think our best bet is to accept pre-orders so he can buy the stuff in bulk. Plus we are going to shoot for the higher-quality stuff, which will cost a little more, so buying more at once will help offset that additional cost a little bit.

We're going to start with t-shirts first and then if sales are good, we'll take a chunk of the proceeds from those to create some ball caps and other stuff. I'm watching the funds closely because I want to ensure that the site has enough money to keep us going well into the future.

Based on the first week's data, we're going to need to upgrade again before the month is done and I've already upgraded the account twice since opening day. I can see that a dedicated server will be in our future if things keep going the way they are. After I get some more data to crunch, I'll be in a better position to figure all that out. Meanwhile, I'm watching it closely so we don't have any downtime.

Everyone has been great and we've received a lot of financial support to keep us going for quite awhile. I just don't want to jeopardize our existence in any way. Baby steps!

Stay tuned, I'll put a small store online soon where you can place your orders! 😀
