The Boston bombing thread, which started out just fine, soon turned into a political, name-calling free-for-all. It was removed, followed shortly by a "What happened to the Boston thread?" thread, which then turned into it's own bickering match by those who couldn't leave well enough alone. So I banned everyone involved in the scuffle.
I returned this morning to review the threads (it was late last night when I discovered the problems in the second one) and any email "comments" I might have received, which resulted in the discovery of a fourth accomplice.
I'm not sure how long this one will last but it might be awhile. The site has been rather peaceful and I've enjoyed that more than I can express in words. So I'm pretty serious about bans these days because I enjoy peace.
There's a list of emotions to use when you can't say what you want to say.

Yeah, but they never use them. They'd rather type it all out and fight. Ugh!!! :-/
For what it is worth, Wendell did not remove that original thread. *I* did, because it turned into what it did. I gave warnings but they were unheeded so...I did what I had to do. Oh well. Life goes on. |-)
