Hi, I would like to ask the people who have some experience about the Trimble R2 RTK RTX accuracy (centimeter) rover receiver about the time this receiver takes to achieve a FIX Solution and how fast it looses this fix under canopy, or near buildings.?ÿ There is a post from Alexander Holsteinson in Trimble Community in Ago 2016, where he reported a low performance of this receiver compared to a Trimble R8s, R10 and a R4M3 (GPS/GLONASS) receiver too!?ÿ(See https://community.trimble.com/thread/1991-why-the-r2-gnss-rtx-rtk-accuracy-is-very-slow-to-get-fixed-positions ).
The specifications of these receivers?ÿare differents. See https://geospatial.trimble.com/portfolios/230/compare ?ÿand the Trimble R2 is less accurate than a Trimble R8s,. so it is possible that its performance suffers under?ÿchallenge conditions like forestry or urban canyons.
I am looking to form a new RTK system with my R8s RTK full GNSS receiver and buying a new Trimble R2 RTK RTX or a new Trimble R8s rover receiver . The report in Trimble community is a serious concern about the convenience to choose a Trimble R2 rover receiver instead of a Trimble R8s.
I would apreciate some comments on this. Thank You.
