I tried to upgrade my pair of Topcon Hiper Lite pluses to the latest Firmware Version (3.5p1) today. I checked to make sure I had the correct Firmware for the board that I have (HGGDT_5) and I followed the instructions in the booklet and cleared the NVRAM. Now the Status light just blinks red and green in an alternating pattern and does not appear to track any satellites. I set them outside for awhile to collect new almanacs, but that did not help either. When I query the information on the receiver it says that i have no options purchased. Has anyone had this happen?

OK, the guys from Hayes said that sometimes when you are upgrading the Firmware from a very early Firmware version that it ends up blowing away your OAF file with all of your purchased options. Apparently that is what happened. Now I have get them replaced. And I thought Firmware upgrades were supposed to be easy.

Yeah, I know, but I am trying to be RTN capable with GLONASS eventually. So I felt I had to. I hate dealing with hardware issues. I wish it was all just plug and play. You plug it in and it just works. Am I asking for to much?
