Hello,

A friend of mine uses Trimble GNSS equipment, TSC2's and R8's. He is required to produce an averaged combined scale factor for his work along with a CSV file and the raw data.

He would prefer not to have to use desktop applications to obtain that number. His procedure would then be a straight export from the TSC2.

Does survey controller on TSC2 have the capability to export the average combined scale factor in a simple way? I sifted through the custom format files on the manufacturer's support page but none jumped out at me.

If anyone knows how to go about it, and/or a simple solution, please let me know.

Thanks folks,

I am quite familiar with the Style Sheets, but have not found one to average the CSF for all points. It is said you can create your own, but I have not had the inclination to do so.

However: (you need Trimble Business Center)
1)import jobfile into Trimble Business Center
2) go to reports/report options/point list
-toggle/edit the place holder to include the CSF (right hand window)
3)export the point list report as an excel point file
In Excel the numbers in the exported CSF column is indicated as a "text" item and must be changed to "number" item through the format cells option. Then you can use excel functions to average the CSF.

Another problem is the actual "CSF column" is comprised as several "letter'd" columns and you have to futz with it a little.

I realize you were looking for an easy way to perform this task and did not want to go the way of desktop apps, but that is the best i can offer at this time.
