Hopefully, there won't be any clouds so I can watch it go up from my backyard.

It's on the way. Could see it from Ponce Inlet.

I could see it just briefly from Ocala. I didn't quite get above the trees from my prospective. Must have started going downrange pretty quickly.

Succerssful Launch For GPS 2F

It will replace GPS 2A SVN 28 in Slot B 5, next to GPS 2R-M SVN 49/PRN 30 in slot B 6. SVN 49 is only semi functional, not useful for surveying, but still useful to the military.

Once on line the constellation will have the following improved satellites in Orbital Planes ABC allowing expanded signal for part of the day.

A, B and C will each have 1 GPS 2F and 2 GPS 2R-Ms giving windows for more use of the 2C potential.

2C is being recorded and used but I have yet to see reports on faster acquisition and lock for those satellites with 1C/2C.

Successful Launch For GPS 2F

A bit of confusion in GPS location of 2F destination.

NANU says SVN 64/PRN 30 will go in slot A6. A6 is open,

SpaceFlight Now says SVN 64/PRN 30 replaces SVN 28 in slot A3. SVN 28 is off the board and SVN 38/PRN 08 is in slot A3.

Coast Guard Nav Center says SVN 49/PRN 30 is still in slot B6. Slot B5 is open.

It should all be sorted out before wash day.
