Admitted, first time for downloading a 4+ hour static session with the R10.

I'm using the cable to download the logged file to a "memory stick" "thumb drive"... and it's been sitting there blinking for about 10 minutes off and on.... The files don't seem that big. Is it just "polling" the port to check for activity?

How long should this typically take?

I need to go home here at some point! 🙂

Don't download to thumb drive. Put it on the hard drive then cut n' paste to thumb drive after.

Probably depends on the logging rate but 10 minutes seems excessive. According to the R10 literature you get a "slow flash" on the data light while downloading and a "very slow flash" when the download is complete.

I always copy the files to the data collector before tearing down the receiver and download them from there, it's fast and unambiguous.
