I will be attending an OPUS Projects training class next Monday and Tuesday in Starkville, MS with one of my best friends. He is the one that introduced me to static and RTK GPS back in 2002. I am looking forward to it. It will be nice to have another tool in the toolbox.
We were originally going to attend a class in Corbin today and tomorrow, but we had to postpone due to a schedule conflict. This class was brought to our attention about two weeks ago, and we were fortunate to be able to sign up.
If any fellow beerleggers will be attendance, it will be good to meet you.
That same friend told me about it. I'd like to go but don't know if I will be able.
The class we are attending is limited to 20 people, and we have to bring our own laptops. If you think you might be able to attend, you should probably jump in pretty quick. I don't know if the class is full yet or not.
There is going to be a session where we can examine our own data if I understand it correctly. I plan on setting my 4 receivers up and doing a small network to test out real work data.
I enjoyed the class.
Here is the workflow that we came up with that will help with late Day 1 and all of Day 2. A little cryptic but you should be able to follow by the end of the class.

(The FallGs0m-MFS2012* was our login for WiFi.)
I'll be at the one in Charlotte August 7th & 8th. See ya there.
I will be attending and will be presenting a MS Standards class there also. The class is full according to the NGS website.
I'd really like to attend one of these. Unfortunately both CA classes sold out extremely fast, so that those of us wanting to go on company time (and having to get budget approval) had no chance to attend.
Here's hoping they expand the number of classes to meet demand.
Joe,
I'd like to talk with you after your presentation if you have a few minutes. I have a few questions I'd like to ask you.
I sat thru your presentation at the MAPS seminar in February.
Thanks, and I look forward to actually meeting you this time around.
Jimmy
Jimmy,
Looking forward to seeing you there. We should have plenty of time to solve all of the world's problems. I finish my presentation at 5 and the fish fry doesn't start till 7. See you Monday morning.
Joe
Joe, do you know if the class will be held again in Mississippi or Louisiana anytime soon?
Toby
Toby, I'm not sure. The only other class I know of right now is a class for MDOT employees only. I talked to Dennis Riorden at the LSPS seminar and he is trying to schedule more classes. Drop Dennis an email, he'll let you know. If I hear anything, I'll try to let you know about it.
