I was sent a file from a coworker who could not get it?ÿto process in TBC or get an OPUS solution.?ÿ I believe that the Topcon observation file was converter using TEQC.?ÿI am used to using Trimble GPS and?ÿnot Topcon. ?ÿI tried to process it in TBC myself but not luck.?ÿ When I go to process the base lines they all fail.?ÿ When I click on the failed solution in the processing window it states the following..."Prcessing Failed.?ÿTropo scale factor has been estimated for the rover."?ÿ I have never seen that before.?ÿ Not sure if something got converted wrong and something is missing from the file header or not??ÿ I attached a copy of the rinex file.?ÿ Had to change the file format from .15o to .txt so I could post it. Thank you. ??ÿ

Not familiar with Topcon, but it looks like maybe the GPS is single frequency? I don't know what LA, DA, and DB mean for observables, but that is my guess. It was created by Magnet, not teqc. The glonass sv's seem to have L1 and L2.?ÿ

The file is from 2015, so it may not be that easy to reobserve it, but it is definitely missing all GPS L2 data. That could be also missing from the original Topcon file or lost in the RINEX conversion.

CA is correct, LA is L1, DA is D1 and C2 may be P1 or P2, but as far as I recall only Ashtech and some Leica receivers output P1 in the older receivers. What is confusing is that the P1 slot is empty, so there may well be confusion in the RINEX converter. It should be possible to get a solution from most commercial post processors in L1 only format.

Thank you very much Paul and John.?ÿ I will see if I can get a copy of the original Topcon file and convert it again to see what happens.
