I only got between 5 and ten satellites tracking all day today with my RTN javad setup in open sky. Normally I'm tracking at least 12 sats. I also noticed that most of the GPS sats were unused by Carlson even though they appeared to be in a usable position in the sky. I got so frustrated with the constant dinging in and out of fix and waiting for fix I actually put it up and used robotic. Was today a bad day for GPS for some reason?
One day last week I had only three sat's at certain times.
I find it hard to believe there were times you only had three sats.

If you normally get at least 12, I assume that's GPS and Glonass. 5-10 sounds like GPS only. Are you sure you are configured to use Glonass with your RTN / Javad / Carlson set up?
I had a little different scenario today. Around 1pm Carlson starts tracking 24 sats, using 12 collector goes to autonomous/float. When the sats drop down to 12 using 7 it will get a fix. Then it cycled back and forth between the two for about 30mins until it was resolved.
