I got a new CS15 data collector that communicates perfectly through my cell phone hotspot but won't authenticate to my Verizon jetpack. My laptops connect to the jetpack fine, so I know it's working. I can find the jetpack on the data collector, enter password, but when I hit connect it goes into a never ending cycle of association, authentication, re-authentication, authentication failure, repeat. At certain points it'll say strong signal.
Anyone know the fix? Was on the phone with Verizon, no help. Leica not able to help yet.
Thanks

I had to take the password off the jetpack and make it an open hotspot. After that it has worked almost flawlessly. It makes a little chirp whenever another device connects to it so I keep my ears open for that and do a visual check of the # of devices connected routinely to make sure someone isn't stealing my data. Hope that helps.
Tried that last night to no avail. when I changed data collector encryption setting to none, it still wanted a network key. Today I went into jetpack and renamed network and made it open. Then went in to data collector, found new network name and it connected right up.
Thanks!
You should probably set your encryption on the Jetpack to be whatever your CS15 expects, which is most likely WPA/Personal PSK.
