Hello,

I have a trimble NetR5 receiver and a Trimble choke ring antenna (59800.00) which form part of my CORs. Unfortunately the receiver is now only receiving L1 signals and not the L2! I have replaced the cable and it was receiving both L1 and L2 signals for a short while but then reverted back to just receiving L1.

I have connected the receiver to another antenna using a different coaxial cable and the receiver seems to be operating fine, which lead me to believe it was either the cable or the antenna! Seeing as the antenna is the cheapest to replace out of the two I bought a new cable which did correct the issue for a short while. I'm now thinking its the antenna, but I find is strange that it still can receive the L1 signals fine.

Is there anyway I can test either the coaxial cable or antenna to confirm which one is faulty?

Any advice or help anyone can provide would be very much appreciated! 🙂

Many thanks in advance

Murray

Only 9 years old, with 12 intermediate version releases. That should be no problem, right? You are still running Windows 98 on your desktop with no issues too?

Have you tried another reciever connected to the same cable and antenna combination?

I have a NetR9 which I will try and connect to the same cable and antenna combination later today, will let you know what the outcome is.

Do you think I should update the firmware on the NetR5?
