Can any old school surveyors, geodesists or academics suggest litrature on outlier detection methods for closed horizontal direction observations (per direction and not per station) when analysing terrestrial-geodetic observations?
I realise modern geodetic surveys use GNSS equipment but the above is for a University thesis.
Might be in "Manual of Geodetic Trinagulation" by Captain F. R. Gossett, U.S. Department of Commerce, Coast and Geodetic Survey, Special Publication NO. 247. First Edition 1950, Reprinted with Minor Corrections 1955, Revised with New Specifications 1959.?ÿ

Jay_81?ÿ ?ÿbefore I answer I want to make sure I understand your question.
"for closed horizontal direction observation" ??
?ÿ
Do you mean closing the horizon and how to adjust the data?
