I'm looking to upgrade my TRL-35 radio by ArWest (25hz spacing) to a new AW401BT 1 W UHF Transceiver by ArWest. Is there a trade-in or upgrade option?
Do I contact Javad or ArWest. They seem to be difficult to contact. You can add products to the online basket, but can not make a purchase, wierd!!!
Lee,
I would just go in through the Javad website. Create a user account, and when you add anything to your cart, you will have a checkout button.
Payment will be via check to Javad GNSS.
Credit card amounts of up to $1000 are handled via phone call.
The Modems are listed under accessories, which is where you also find antennas, and any other items.
Let me know if you need any help.
John,
Credit card amounts of up to $1000 are handled via phone call.
That seem's odd how ArWest or Javad make it so difficult for one to purchase their products.
Credit cards aren't accepted for high dollar purchases because of the high transaction fees. Have you found any other equipment manufacturing that will accept credit cards for these type of purchases?
This is only a radio.
Yes, Hayes, Tiger Supply, Geo-Tronics, Admar Supply have all accepted my credit card for purchasing equipment.
Drones and computers cost more that $1000.
Lee, I have struggled to figure out why they are not easy to pay...
I gave it up, and worked with it.

Nate, I gave up also and went with Satel USA for the new radio upgrade.
They accepted credit payment of $2235 with no problems.
Tough titty, said the kitty, but the milk was still good!

Love it.
Javads website/policy is behind the times. I wonder how many more sales they have lost because of this. .
I agree that restricting credit card purchases will tend to deter potential customers. I think Javad would do better to raise its website prices by the amount of the transaction fees. It could maintain a quiet policy of discounting for payment by check to draw in those persistent shoppers who are looking to shave the last nickel off a purchase, but by declining to accept credit cards it's ignoring the huge convenience factor that credit cards represent for the buyer.
If credit card fraud is the big concern, Javad could restrict CC purchases to licensed land surveyors. That's sort of what they did when they first released the Triumph-LS for trial usage.
