Just a heads up for anyone in the Salem, Oregon area as they will not ship

This is going today:
https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=289&acctid=6092

It should go to a good home, and as of 11:30am, $83 seems cheap, but I know nothing of this model.

Too bad they don't give Ser# info.
But it's worth $83

I have done auctions like this in the past. Usually you can arrange a local mail/ parcel shipping place to pick it up, and package then ship to you at a reasonable cost. But you need a day or two to arrange but one has 10 days at this auction. A lot of colleges and universities usually have small parcel shipping places nearby.

Also, be aware that a buyers premium is added to your bid on this site. This one is 5%, but I have also seen 12.5%, and that added up quick.

Serial #640358 is listed at the top of the page, just below the photos. Looks like it's in excellent condition and worth much more than the current bid of $123. If I had any reason to be in the Salem area over the next week and a half, I'd bid on it.

Now to decide... Keep peace in my house, or buy a new toy/conversation piece I don't need. The last two times I did this, my wife tolerated it but was not happy about it. A third such purchase this year might be pushing things a bit too far.

I've got that country song running through my head about the guy whose wife gives him an ultimatum about all the time he spends fishing. "I'm gonna miss her... Looky there, I got a bite."

You've put me in a difficult spot Robert.

Evan,
To help a brother out...maybe you can make a buck or three by selling the other two (Mr. Swart's T2...hint hint).

Like those two hillbillies who bought and sold that spavined mule to each other every other year...both made a profit...

Yikes don't make me the scapegoat
But you could probably arrange to have Uber pick it up...take it to the package place . Maybe $50 for the whole deal.
But this should sel for $250-400
It's not a collectible but looks it nice condition being owned by the school.
But who knows

The last time I...uh..."over-purchased" in the toy category... my wife beat me to the UPS box on the porch and attached a little note: "Really? Really? Your birthday is over!!!"

Yeah, I've used up Father's Day, our anniversary, and my birthday this year in the same way.
