Hi,

I am looking to buy a used Topcon OS total station. I mostly do boundary survey work. I see they run an onboard "Magnet Software". I have a lot of experience with SurvCe. If any users will chime in I would appreciate the feed back . 1) Any special issues with buying a OS used (are there any license or changeover issues). 2) Any sunlight reading the screen issues with the OS. 3) If I need to, I plan to buy a Topcon FC500 data collector to go along with it. Does SurvCe crossover (compatible) with an OS? 4 ) Are Topcon FC500 's anymore sunlight readable? I am 70 years old and I can learn new software but I was hoping the surveying equipment industry would have moved up to the sunlight readable level of say fish finders on boats.

That looks like a very nice compact TS with some nice features that will shoot a great range without a prism.

It should be compatible with any Topcon software and data collectors.
