Hello All,

I have three old Ashtech Zmax receivers that have been collecting dust in storage and am looking at options as to who would have use for them.?ÿ I haven't used them for over 5 years and would consider any reasonable (or unreasonable) offer to move these off my shelf. (what would you give to drive these babies off the lot today....) Needless to say I am a motivated seller.?ÿ This does include a legacy Paccrest radio as well as a backpack for RTK.?ÿ We upgraded all our equipment many years ago and would like these to go to somebody/anybody that might have need.?ÿ Thanks

I knew a guy that bought a pair of those, and a Pac crest radio. Paid 62,000 or so for the setup.

It's been 20 or so yrs ago. They worked well.

Nate

About 15 years ago, a complete base/rover set up including data collector and?ÿ all software was about $24k. Maybe a little more in some parts of the country being USA.?ÿ $62k? Did you transpose?

I think if the internal battery was OK?ÿ which may not be the case and external battery modules were OK too then it might be saleable sonewhere. But not USA. Eastern Europe, S.A, and other overseas areas. I knew some one who was in your situation and he finally sold the units online in parts. Antennas, radio, battery/charger etc. In the end, sold the final stripped unit off to someone in Canada. He couldn't sell it as a complete set-up. The other?ÿ buyers were in?ÿ places like Greece, Romania, Mexico.

I betcha Paul in PA might be interested in them. He likes them, and has a pretty good collection of the older Ashtech receivers, and knows a lot about them, also.

Those Zmax would be nice for collection purposes. They look kind of strange for a GPS receiver.
