Is eBay a good place to sell surveying equipment? I've been asked by a number of dealers that I consult for where they can sell the old Intuicom and Champion RTK bridges at. They have been taking them in on trade for the new BNB M3 RTK Bridges.

I've always thought of eBay as more of a consumer products site. Also, is there a way to find out how much similar items have sold for on eBay, everywhere I look only shows open sales, which don’t represent the final cost that something sold for. Knowing what similar items have sold for would help me tell them if it’s worth listing them.

Put in the item you are looking for a do a search. The search results will come up. Then, click on advanced search (to the right of where you enter the item description). A new screen will come up. Check the "completed listings" box and run the search again. All sold and unsold listings for that item for the past 90 days (I think) will come up.
