Looking for a good case in the older style, like the attached pic.
plastic hinge finally gave out on mine, and I like this case as opposed to the newer fiberglass shelled ones.

I highly recommend a top open Seco backpack and custom fit it for your TS for everyday use.

The hard shell cases are better for shipping than for carrying around on jobsite.

Have thought about backpacks, but have never seen or used one in person.

In all reality, I do very little packing of the instrument, most of the time, the gun comes out of the case at the truck, or the case goes on a atv - I don't really ever carry the case.

The Seco backpack is nice because it has a couple of huge pockets big enough to hold a data collector, fieldbook and other small items like flagging, nails, ect...

I've got the top loading model. It's my field office. Carries my gun, data collector and holder, extra batteries for the gun and radios, pocket rod, nails and flagging, marker, tools to make adjustments and repairs on gun and rods, carry my plan and deeds, and other things I haven't seen in years. It'll strap to an atv, or wear it. Some of the best money I've ever spent.

Jules,
There was a dealer on ebay sometime back that had topcon cases. You might look there.
I don't remember how much. I didn't pay much attention since I wasn't in the market.
Also, I figure a topcon dealer like Deatons or Hayes could get one from Topcon.

J.T.

I've got a brand new one that came with my gun. Took it out the Topcon case and put it in my Seco Backpack. I'm keeping the original Topcon Case in case I have to send it in for repair, or if I sell this gun.

Thank You J.T.

toivo1037 is who is looking for a case.

Another vote for the Seco instrument bag, although, I am a front loading guy. I wouldn't do a job without one.
