What do you use for data collection ?

Is this a good fit for someone that has used only leica? I have a Carslon DC, the Allegro CX with SurvCX.. Will that serve as a DC for the Geo?

I've always been curious about Geodimeter and have heard good things, are they Trimble now?

Dtp

The Allegro with SurvCE will work fine. I've been using a Carlson Surveyor+ with it. And yes, they're Trimble now. It's the same gun as the Trimble 5600 (just more metal than plastic). No problem getting parts or service.

Thanks,

CC

I think the DR200+ is Direct reflex feature

The unique "Time-of-Flight" pulse measurement technique measures the time for a very short transmitted pulse to travel to the target and back.

I have it on a 5603 and it works pretty
well.

The long-range Direct Reflex
EDM system (DR200+) option
on the 5600 series allows you to
measure up to 600 meters against
a white object and 200 meters
against Kodak Grey (the international
standard to determine the
range of reflectorless total stations
)
