Beerleggers- I have an HP DesignJet 1050C that served us well for a number of years, but it was relegated to the backroom due to a leakey ink line a couple of years ago. I am kicking it to the curb now, but I do have some old...but unopened...ink cartridges that I would like to move out of my office. Anybody interested in four cartridge..black..yellow, cyan and magenta? Will trade for "good karma" and wishes for a prosperous 2014.
I received a call from HP stating that the 1055CM plotter is no longer supported and the 1055CM PS will no longer be supported in 2014.
He said I should be able to get ink, but they will no longer be selling print heads and belts.
I am contemplating buying spare ink/print heads/belt and call it good for the next 3-5 years.
They are like the Maytag repair man...always calling to see how our plotter is doing. Hoping it needs repaired. I think they have realized that they built these plotters too well - they last forever if maintained, so they discontinued the maintenance parts.
The price is right for my cartridges...Free to first taker.
