Amazing that a 30+ year old calculator is worth more today than what you could have bought one for 30 years ago (factoring inflation).
I haven't used mine in a few years but still have the survey module and books etc. Remember taking the LS exam with it and having to agonizingly wait for the calculator to display the results. Over the course of the entire exam a fare amount of time was lost to processor speed which in retrospect was probably not such a bad thing, as it allowed my brain to re-group.
Still use my 11C every day.
As I remember it, the only difference between the CV and CX was the CX had a time module and text editor.

Price must be based on nostalgia of some engineer who used a similar unit in his earlier days. I myself have been looking for a nice Casio 602P calculator because this was what I used when I started my land surveying career.
Using one as I post this. Still does the job - money well invested. The C and CV had some additional functions held in an X-functions module; the CX had these built in so it could hold an extra extended memory module.
My CX is right here on my desk - used everyday. No better R>P and P>R available. My brand new backup is on the top of my bookshelf at home. My emulator (with every application pac and routine known to mankind) icon is right there in the lower right corner of my desktop. My HP41 APP (and Survey module) is right here on my iPhone. I'm ready to calc!!
Paid a buck for the last 41cv I bought at a second hand store...
just sayin', value is in the eyes of the beholder.

:good:
I sold one of mine for 400 dollars to a petroleum engineer up in Canada here about a year or so ago; which it was in great shape, except for the box, and had everything that came with it when I originally bought it.
Jim: what emulator are you using? I need something that will run on windows 7.
