I bet you mean something like "Do not hold the bagel in your hand when trying to slice it open."
And hearing snap, crackle and pop just means you stood up, not that breakfast is ready.
Resting you head on a textbook does not result in learning by osmosis.
You are more likely to witness 0 to 250 in under four seconds near your bathroom scales than at a drag strip.

Good judgement comes with experience. A lot of experience comes from bad judgement.
