I am a surveyor in Washington. However, my nephew; is in Ames, is wondering what he wants to do and I am selling him on getting into the industry. I do not know anything about the survey market in that area. Any insight would be appreciated, is there a demand in that area? Any firms in the area interested in possibly talking to potential new hire? Just graduating from Iowa State.?ÿ

I've heard from numerous surveying firms that they are looking for help. This help-wanted request was recently posted to the Society of Land Surveyors of Iowa (SLSI) web-site:
