Today is Mothers Day. A special day for me. I was adopted at birth by the best parents I could have ever hoped for. And even a thanks for the biological mom who did not abort me but chose to let me live.

Congratulations to Rachel, for over six years of pregnancy and coming back for more.
I was raised in a family of seven and my father's brother (one farm away) had his own seven. You have surpassed us. As a challenge Nate in our small hometown was a family of 11, lost a few in the oven, so never hit a dozen. They evened things out with a foster child. I mowed their grass before they got big enough and babysat the bunch a few times.
I remember one Sunday the family's father was reading the scripture at Mass and came to "thy wife shall be like a fruitful vine". It took the congregation 5 minutes to stop from smiling and joyous laughter.
God bless them all, your's, my family and all the others.
