What about when you are about to open the door and your coworker kneels down and THUNK doors locked.
Really??ÿ My coworker has an F150 that does the same thing and he told me he has repeatedly looked for a way to shut that off but no way seems to exist.
I do not have all the annoying bells and whistles of the modern car. Still work out of a 1990 Chevy Suburban 3500 "Old Whitee", but it haves it own faults. Rust is taking over the driver side rear fender, when I unlock the driver side door with the key, I have to beat on the the door just below the handle 3 times for the door to unlock. Call it the combination lock. I can leave the doors wide open when moving or doing anything else. Lately the heater is not working well. Got a newer model 1999 bought from the Forest Department but just have not switched over to it yet. "Old Whitee" has 300,000 miles but the 350 motor just won't die. The biggest annoyance is when I fill up with gas. Get about 30 light poles to the gallon.

Wife??s car only blows cold air, need to figure out why. The older style rear seat air works fine but the front seat is an icebox.
Next car, I want the knob you turn for however much heat you want, simple.
need to figure out why
Did you pay your monthy subscription fee?
This "tech" is coming to a new vehicle near you:
https://www.chevrolet.com/connectivity-and-technology/in-vehicle-technology
Which includes keyfob features (lock, unlock, remote start, etc.).
~$100k for a POS "new" vehicle, and now auto makers want to hit you with the subscription model for life to boot.
Thanks Netflix and Tesla.
P.S. Good luck ever getting a "knob" on the dashboard again...
I'm guessing a big portion of the subscription is for the data plan.

On our 2006 F150 the auto door lock is programed by a combination of ignition switch and lock activations.?ÿ I have to look it up each time I do it.?ÿ I just did a quick online search and Ford has a video that describes he procedure with a new vehicle at How do automatic door locks work? (ford.com)
Wife??s car only blows cold air, need to figure out why.
Every time I've had that happen with my vehicle it was a matter of low coolant.

@bstrand?ÿ
That's where I would start. The next step; find out why it's low...
@ric-moore What was the name of the device you got?

For the last 3 years, I've had a company truck, so I don't put many miles on my personal vehicle.?ÿ In fact, in late June I bought a 2010 Dodge Dakota with 110,000 miles on it.?ÿ Since then I've put 1500 miles on it, and that includes 2 round trips to Nashville which is 250 miles per trip.?ÿ This truck has an actual key to open the door and insert into the ignition switch.?ÿ It doesn't have a compute screen on the console.?ÿ I expect it to last me over a decade.
A few months ago the boss was talking about all this new great technology in vehicles.?ÿ I'm not a fan.?ÿ I told him that soon, maybe in 5 years, maybe in 10, you will get in your vehicle and a voice will tell you, "You've been charged with X crime.?ÿ You are being driven directly to jail where you will be arrested."?ÿ Nope, not for me.
I have a F350 2021. I have not bought or downloaded the forescan program but it will allow you to do many things. The first 2 days i disabled the nanny features. I disabled the seat belt alarm chime. I wear my seat belt on all roads. I do not wear my seatbelt when I am picking up hay checking fences cows etc. i hate turning the key and all doors lock Disabled. I hate putting truck in gear and doors lock disabled. Leave a Trimble s6 sitting in the back seat close and lock doors truck will honk as if i left a child. Disabled. I have it set up now that on my key i press once it locks all doors no honk. Once to unlock all doors. ?ÿNo seat belt warning. ?ÿNo beeping when i have door open and truck is in gear. It does tell me on dash. I do have a app ford pass that allows me to crank truck and unlock or lock doors remotely. My fob has a flip out key so it still goes in and turns to crank. The child thing was a tough one to figure out in the manual. But i am sure it is a good thing for some but my kids are old enough its not a hazard anymore. But chainsaw or tool bag etc all weighs about the same as a small child so it was annoying. The other annoying thing is alarm. It has perimeter only or all so a bug can fly and set it off inside. I disabled it as well. Now perimeter has only got me once. I had hooked up the trailer and parked truck out in pasture close to road. Woke up early to move equipment forgot key to truck in house. Drove tractor up on trailer and alarm goes off. This is before the rooster crows. Neighbors were not happy. So solution. I don??t lock doors. Lol. For fords f series forscan is the way to go from what i read on another forum. But i have a simple work truck and was able to disable all the nanny alarms and door chimes from just the owners manual.?ÿ
