I can think of many things I??d wished I??d known about long ago...somewhere on the list is this:

Did you know there are tabs on the ends of aluminum foil boxes that you can punch inward to keep the roll from falling out of the box?

I've learnt a few such things from this Forum, and the one that comes to mind is the fuel pump symbol on the dash, with an arrow to show you which side of the vehicle the filler cap is on. Thank you.

The other day I bought some plastic cling film that is 50% plant based. It has a light green tinge, and when you wrap meat in it, it makes the meat look green.

I would have bought 2 pieces of everything that I can afford and kept the other in their original packaging to be sold 50 years later as vintage/NOS/antique items.
I happen to have a Rubik's Cube still in the package from about 1980.
Number one on the list would be health-related changes.
Number two would have probably resulted in more children than I could ever afford.

Uh, Dave, that's not how it works in this family.?ÿ You graduate high school then you go live your life deciding for yourself what works best for you.?ÿ Sink or swim.?ÿ Has worked quite well so far through several generations.?ÿ One daughter has two Bachelor degrees.?ÿ The other two have both a Bachelors and a Masters.?ÿ All done on their own.?ÿ Having high IQ's and a strong work ethic helps tremendously.?ÿ The first part they must have received from their birth mother as I still have all the smarts I was given.?ÿ The second part is definitely from me.
When they were all still living at home I bought them matching sweat shirts.?ÿ The front said: Does not play well with others.?ÿ The back said:?ÿ Others can accept defeat.
The middle child, like many middle children, needs to be different in some way from siblings.?ÿ I bought her a neat tee shirt one day while exploring the Yellow Brick Road attractions in Sedan, Kansas.?ÿ It reads:?ÿ Proud Alumna of Wicked Witch of the West University.?ÿ That became her favorite shirt.

A couple of days ago I was driving along a stretch of highway I have traveled several thousand times over my lifetime.?ÿ There is an old farmstead that I was looking at (again) that has not had any agricultural activity in decades but the barn and house have been kept up very nicely.?ÿ For what must have been the first time ever, I noticed a small (closed) opening in the barn wall about eight feet above the sloping yard and a length of one inch by twelve inch boards with slats running across them about every twelve inches as the ramp descended at a gentle slope from the barn wall to the yard below.?ÿ This was how the free-range (before that term had been coined by some city slicker) chickens would head out each morning to search for food and then return to the safety of the barn in the evening.?ÿ I swear I had never noticed the ramp before then.
Hmm, one of the top items on my list would be to peel a banana like a monkey-- pinching the non-stem end.?ÿ Took me about 40 years to learn about that.
I just learned that about two years ago. Showed it to some people and they thought I had banged my head too many times as a child. ?????ÿ
