:good: Kinda Puts things into perspective
WOW!
Way cool!
I sent the link to the grandkids too.
Thanks,

What a little star earth has; though I suppose it's just about the right size for us.:sun:
Great stuff Carl.
"Yottameter = 10^24 meter"
Can this be set as unit in Carlson SurvCE ?
PScale of the Universe
I agree, very neat. I majored in Physics at Caltech, and had never heard of a "yoctometer" before... Guess that might mean I'm getting old... 😉

:good: That Caltech Professor from "Mechanical Universe" is one of my favorite guys!
Beautiful! Thanks.

🙂 😛
I got dial-up so I didn't get to see the link.
but I'll always remember the POWERS OF TEN video I saw in physics class in 1977. They go all the way from normal everyday scale to the edge of the universe, then back down into the nucleus of an atom.
thats why i think we are not alone- thats for a different thread;-)
Wow, very cool!
Thanks!
Hmm could there be another planet where the humans are in charge and the cats serve them?
Naw, too far fetched a notion 😉
That was cool. A great way to spend 15 mins on a Friday
Dave, have you ever seen Red Dwarf?
In this sci-fi series, a cat left alone on a deserted ship evolved (over millions of years) into something that looked strikingly like an annoying black man.
Dave, have you ever seen Red Dwarf?
I have heard about it but haven't found full episodes; just clips in a window that is too small on their website.
I was talking about BBC comedies with my niece's husband (who is English) and he mentioned Red Dwarf which I hadn't heard of until then.
Are You Being Served?
The Good Life
Fawlty Towers
I could go on and on.
I notice that our human scale is right in the middle, making it possible to perceive the widest range of of features both large and small. Maybe the scale of the universe extends to infinity, both in the very large and very small. 🙂
