My mom worked for a phone company many years ago and saw many funny names. Two I remember her telling me were Crystal Shanda Leer, and a Dr. Pracassdicsh*t.
I did also have three uncles by the names of Tom, Dick & Harry.

Not to forget, NASCAR had Dick Trickle.

I went to school with a kid named Richard Flasher, no kidding. The very first day of BCO, teacher sent a list around the room for everyone to right their name on to learn the new faces....Got to old Rich, he looks up "Alright, whose the wise guy? Dick Flasher, come on guys it's the first day and already we're being funny." Richard showed had to end up showing his hall pass to prove it. hahaha boy was the teacher's face red.:-P

Went to H.S. with Robin Lovely. He played basketball and I think he was on the football team with me.

Freshman year in college he received a number of invitations to the sorority rush parties. I remember he tried to go to one, but alas, they wouldn't let him in the door..

I once knew a Richard Head. Actually, I've known several but he was the only one whose name made it official. He was a real Richard Head... literally and figuratively. 🙂

There is a Mr. Richard Seaman LS in CA. A survey tech told me years back to which I did confirm. Probably a great fella. I should buy him a beer.

In Texas in the 1920's there was an oilman named Jim Hogg. He was rich enough that he didn't have to worry about what anybody else thought. To demonstrate that, he named his two daughters Ima and Ura.

I don't know what became of Ima Hogg, but Ura Hogg was the publisher of the Houston Chronicle and her name appeared on that newspaper's masthead in the 1950s. I remember seeing it there as a boy when we lived on the Gulf Coast.

Ima Hogg was born in Mineola, Texas in 1882 to Jim Hogg and Sarah Ann "Sallie" Stinson. She was the second of four children, including brothers William Clifford Hogg (1875–1930), Michael Hogg (1885–1941), and Thomas Elisha Hogg (1887–1949).

There was no Ura Hogg.

Jim Hogg was born and lived lived near Pine Mills community in Wood County and was the first native Texan to become Governor of Texas in 1891.

Ima Hogg was and will forever be known as the "First Lady Of Texas" and she never married.
