Other than the usual gripes and complaints us old farts incessantly bitch about has anyone had any noticeable reactions to vaccinations? I have had both shots and one booster. The booster seems to have caused a reaction I donƒ??t like. Namely getting itches on my back where itƒ??s impossible scratch unless I rub up against the nearest wall or tree and when I do scratch ƒ??em I start itching everywhere. In addition my hair seems to be thinning at an abnormal rate even for an old codger. Any comments, good, bad, or ugly would be appreciated. ?????ÿ

Ah, I should have known the response from an "Engineer", chew on this for a while.....

World of Engineering Quiz: What is the value of 1/2 of 2/3 of 3/4 of 4/5 of 5/6 of 6/7 of 7/8 of 8/9 of 9/10 of 1,000? ?????ÿ

(easy for us surveyors)

Two shots and a booster. Nothing more than slightly sore arms.

J&J orig sore arm slight malaise(good reaction says immune system is active)

Booster with Pfizer.?ÿ similar

2md booster with Pfizer sore arm and slightly less light malaise. all good and say I probably shoot wait longer for next booster.

?ÿ

Itchy skin tell your doctor.?ÿ you might be sensitized now, and that's no good.

anaphylaxis sucks.?ÿ?ÿ

@flga-2-2?ÿ

Pushed too many numbers today.?ÿ So I'm going to say it depends on what the definition of 1000 is.

?ÿ

Could be somewhere between 99.999 or 100.001, depending on the accuracy of your abacus.

One of my staff and a good friend was in critical condition in ICU yesterday. Fully jabbed and boosted. Thought he had the flu all last week after a negative COVID test. Nope. His wife took him to Rapid Care on Saturday. COVID plus sepsis. Life threatening. His second bout with the stuff. Fortunately the antibiotics helped him turn the corner last night. Still looking at a couple more days in ICU. Hoping for a full recovery with no organ damage. The healthiest guy my age that I know damn near died from a virus he was supposedly protected from.?ÿ

Me? No jabs. No boosters. No unknown injected substances in my body. Something will eventually get me, but it won't be from getting jabbed. Just gives me more reason to avoid people, which I mostly don't like anyway.?ÿ

So, my shot reactions are non-existent, but my concerns for family and friends who did get jabbed continue to grow.?ÿ

So far the only reactions I've had are arm so mildly sore that I had to poke it to see if it hurt at all.?ÿ I've gone with Pfizer all the way, 2 original shots and 2 boosters.?ÿ

I spent about 20 hours on airplanes and in airports last week (masked the whole time, ugh), plus a lot of crowded restaurants (no mask).?ÿ Either the vaccine works, or I'm lucky, or both.?ÿ Fingers crossed, in either case.

Not an old codger but GET OFF MY LAWN!

2 shots and a booster, nothing more than a mild sore arm with any of them.

Itchy skin tell your doctor

I agree with this. ?ÿMight be a sign of an allergy. ?ÿMaybe dangerous, maybe not.?ÿ

Moderna x 3.?ÿ Minor discomfort around the injection site.?ÿ However, in each case I scheduled myself for a day of rest the following day.?ÿ Took it easy.?ÿ No mountain climbing.?ÿ No tennis match,?ÿ No nothing.?ÿ Come to think of it, my wife said she couldn't tell the difference in me.

Two Pfizer shots followed up with two chasers of the same. Felt little crummy for a day or two after each but nothing worse than a mild hang over. I jumped on the jab because I figure there's about an 80% chance the only reason I'm still around and not crippled or disfigured is in large part to all the vaccinations I've received since childhood. Life's a gamble and nothing is guaranteed. Many things are out of my control but I'll hedge my bets where and when I can.?ÿ

My girlfriend and I were both down and out with what turned out to be COVID, this was a few short weeks before it was named.?ÿ She pushed through it with no medical intervention while I ended up in ICU for over a week.?ÿ I was told that if I didn't show up at the ER, I had 24 to 48 hours to live.

She works for a company with over 100 employees and was forced to get the jabs, despite not wanting to get them.?ÿ Everything was fine after the first Pfizer jab but since the day after the second one, she has not been the same, experiencing breathing and other problems that still exist.?ÿ Ironically, the 100-employee jab mandate was ruled unconstitutional the day after her second jab.

I have refused to get jabbed.?ÿ The technology and safety has not been proven, nor is there any long term effect history to look at. When Omicron came around, we both got it, not as bad as the first round but we were both down for about three days.?ÿ Despite not being vaccinated, I suffered no worse than she did.?ÿ

Covid first for me. It whacked my pancreas and I ended up on insulin.

I have now had both moderna and a booster. I was down a full day with all three and will happily go for available boosters as they come. Our family does poorly with the virus and I'd like to spend some of that retirement money before going on a shelf...

2 Moderna + Pfizer booster.?ÿ No significant problems, other than maybe a short malaise on the first one. Then I had Omicron, which was about 4+ days of a head cold and no other problems noted.

There are some relatively few bad reactions to the vaccines, but eventually everybody will get some version of Covid, and most unvaccinated people have it pretty bad.?ÿ The statistics say your chances of good outcome are much better with the vaccinations.

Had my two doses on Thursdays and was lethargic with a headache on the following Saturday.?ÿ However both Friday evenings I went out to the local Bavarian restaurant...so the causality of the symptoms is somewhat in doubt.?ÿ

I had extreme reactions.

1-1/2 weeks after the first Pfizer shot I had 4 days of myocarditis, then another week of very reduced ability to function.

I didn't connect it to the shot until all the news came out later. I was dumb/stupid enough to take the second Pfizer shot with similar results, at least I didn't have the myocarditis, but my heart was clearly in distress.

I ended up in the emergency room. Frankly, I can't remember being that sick and weak with any other illness I've had.?ÿ

The heart doctor thinks I'm over it, I did get a booster to allow me to see my family, but not Pfizer. Little reaction to the Moderna booster.?ÿ?ÿ

Brother in law ended up having emergency heart kath 4 days after his second shot. Turns out he wasn't having a heart attack, it was blood clots from the shot in his lungs. He hasn't fully recovered from the shot, and I don't think I have totally either, although, it's been better for me than him.?ÿ

The statistics I've seen:

20 per 100,000 die from Covid unvaccinated.?ÿ

2 per 100,000 die from Covid after being vaccinated with Pfizer or Moderna

5 per 100,000 die from Covid after being vaccinated with J and J.

I don't know if that's per year or the entire time Covid has been around.

I have not gotten good statistics relating to the uptick non-Covid deaths of the vaccinated.

Fortunately I had a mild case of Covid early. ?ÿIƒ??ll trust my body and natural antibodies any day over a miracle vaccine with whatƒ??s turned out to be a questionable track record pushed by people with questionable motives.
