This is our extended outlook. Welcome to August in Oklahoma...

I did get a deal from NASA though. My roofer is going to change out my roof shingles for the shuttle tiles.

Firemen are fighting two big fires this morning, all the ponds are dried up and the farmers are selling their cattle before they all die. Volunteer rationing on water but that will be mandatory in another few days.

I take back all the bad things I said about Winter.

Look on the bright side, if you need to cook then save resources and cook on the sidewalk.

Tropical Storm Don dropped 0.000000" on us - predicted up to 5"...

0.04' would have been good. The frogs came out and started chirping.
I bet they are even more bummed than me today.

I know how you feel.

I read that Don was a real let down. The governor yesterday said "Don is looked forward to more than Friday night football". Big statement if you know anything about Texas high school football.

Sadly, Don turn out to be a fizzler. 🙁

It was really to hot to ride but I braved it anyway this morning. I decided to get a new tattoo. Do you like it?

I think it compliments the bike and if you look hard enough there actually is a bike in the picture. But the sweet girl is Piper Rocks of the Darkside Derby Roller derby team.

They gave the bike a good wash, and I got wet in the process also which was a plus. 104 already.

And tonight is Roller Derby on the road. I have my tux shirt at the ready and my 580 Derby girls bling on to handle security and the front door. It's a tough job but a retiree has to keep busy doing something.

We actually had a few little rain showers around noon today. Just enough to get the humidity up to near 100 percent for the rest of the day. At 85 it was bad, at 100 it was totally unbearable.

your lows are higher than our highs by about 10°. We have not yet had any summer weather yet and we are 5 weeks into it.
