Naps. ?ÿAm I right?
I dunno, but I am about to take my afternoon'er. 💡 ?ÿ
??Sleep experts have found that daytime naps can improve many things: increase alertness, boost creativity, reduce stress, improve perception, stamina, motor skills and accuracy, enhance your sex life, aid in weight loss, reduce the risk of heart attack, brighten your mood and boost memory.??
Exact opposite happens to me. 5:00am - 9:00pm last 40 or so years. ?????ÿ
Still do.
I wish I had time for more naps. I would like nothing more than to fish and nap and drink beer and nap some more all under a big shade tree.
I do not understand why those who can retire and get away from Surveying do not do so and enjoy more naps and fishing and beer.
On office days, 20 minutes to an hour most afternoons at about 2:30 to 3 work wonders.?ÿ Maybe because I start the day between 4 and 5? On field days, no desire for a nap.

I found a nap or exercise during lunch hour were equally invigorating.?ÿ Our office was next door to a pool so I used to swim for 30 minutes every day.?ÿ That will get your juices flowing and perk you up for the afternoon.?ÿ I have been known to close my door and snooze for 30 minutes or so also.

I wish! When I do that, I end up waking up groggy and can't seem to shake it.
Naps are not good for me.?ÿ Never have been.?ÿ Still aren't.?ÿ I know.?ÿ I'm weird.?ÿ But, that's just how it is.?ÿ Wake up feeling worse than before and generally somewhat disoriented for 30 minutes to an hour.
Damned rookies, having to go through life surrounded by people who can't appreciate the finer things in life, good beer, bourbon, fishing, shade trees, and naps.
Naps, yes
Beer, yes
Fishing, yes
Yeah, naps have never worked for me since pre-school in 1952. Miss Sulivan used to make it her daily goal to get me to nap. Hated it. I won that joust, every time.
To this day, there are afternoons when a nap feels like the only appropriate response. Often, I may be able to doze off but I am ruined for the rest of the day/evening. I have never in 7 decades taken an afternoon nap and come out the other side brighter, refreshed or invigorated. Never.
Love the 5 AM to 9 PM regimen. Been doing it forever.
My 2 cents.

7 a.m. to midnight is much preferable to me.?ÿ Let the early birds catch the worms.?ÿ I prefer pancakes with bacon and eggs, anyway.
Please note it is now 12:50 a.m. here.?ÿ Wide awake.
Rolled out at 8:55.?ÿ I get much more done after Mrs. Cow goes to bed.?ÿ Having her here 24/7 is not helping with my office work.?ÿ Not at all.
Suggest you counsel with Si Robertson, of the Duck Dynasty bunch. He's an expert on naps.
The early bird might get the worm; but the second mouse gets the cheese!
SWMBO: DOUG...DOUG!...can you come in here for a second.
Dougie: Yes dear; what do you need?
SWMBO: Why is this cupboard door open?
