Husband and Wife Christmas Shopping

A couple were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on the mobile. The wife said, " Where are you, you know we have lots to do."

He said, "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?" Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked upÛ?

"Yes, I do remember that shop." , she replied.

"Well I am in the bar next to that."

I was in French Morocco from November 1954 till May 1957. So I was there for three Christmas celebrations. I saw the display that is shown in the photograph on all three celebrations. How long it was used after that I don't know. Nouasseur Air Base was closed the latter part of 1962, I think.
You can see St. Nick is delivering gifts from a vehicle drawn by a team consisting of 1 Donkey and 1 Camel. Odd team you say, in Morocco you can see teams of two donkeys and a donkey and camel, but you never see a two camel team. I had it explained that the Arabs thought that two camels in team would gossip and not do any work. Why two donkeys wouldn't do the same is beyond my reasoning. It is extremely odd looking but has been that way for thousands of years I suppose.
I was there for duty on a radar site located between the base and Casablanca, we were housed on the base. The radar site controlled the F-86D aircraft based on Nouasseur Air Base.
