I heard rumors at the Falcons game Sunday that McRib had been spotted around town. Confirmed the rumor this morning at my local McDs. We will be reunited in about 30 minutes. Oh how I have missed you old friend. I know you are bad for me, I will not abuse you this time. See you soon!

It never left. It just likes to move around.

You can check McRib Locator, but I've heard that it isn't always correct, so you should call ahead before driving a long way.

That is so sad. Looking forward to eating at McDonalds is so so sad.

I'm starting to think Wendell and I must be long lost brothers! mmmmm McRib, the greatest of all the gross things to come out of the McDonalds Laboratory!

It's a processed pork sandwich, the patty formed to look somewhat like ribs. Hard telling what parts of the pig go into it, since it's basically pressed to form, but it's still tasty. I guess it doesn't bother me since my background is mostly Czech and they eat every part of the pig without question.

The BBQ sauce they use on it is extra good, too.

Agreed. But I was raised with a weekly visit to McD's, so I guess it's just built-in at this point.

Ah - kind of thought so, but I haven't eaten at McDonalds in 20+ years, so I wasn't sure. Hot dogs are also processed pork parts. A friend of mine's mother worked at an Oscar Meyer plant and would not let a hot dog come within 50 feet of her house. I know that they have probably never killed anyone (other than by choking), but I really don't need any eyeballs...

You sure know how to make a guy's mouth water.

Just like the Colonel with his with his beady little eyes and his blend of herbs and spices designed to make you crave his chicken fortnightly. (paraphrased from So I Married an Axe Murderer)

I have never built up enough courage to try one.

But since it comes so highly endorsed, I believe it's time to finally give it a try.

:dog:

OK, I just checked the LOCATOR and the nearest one is Tennessee.

🙁

I am thinking McAnus may be a more apt description, but the processing and BBQ sauce really make the sandwich.

Us INTJ's must be highly suggestible because I just took a quick trip to the bank and passing by the MCD's I saw the big banner that says "McRib is Back" so I decided to invest $2.38. Pretty tasty.
