I've seen a lot of clips of police arresting drunk drivers.?ÿ I want to know what kind of beer all these people are drinking.?ÿ Every time the officer asks the noticeably inebriated suspect if they've been drinking the reply is always "just one beer".

I want some that beer.?ÿ It must be amazing.?ÿ 😉

@dougie?ÿ

That's some pretty stiff stuff.?ÿ Never had any, I'll have to try it.

PS - It's really hard to keep yeast alive in brew that has an alcohol content north of 12% or so.?ÿ They're doing something there to push that number.?ÿ

A few years ago I had to go the ER for what turned out to be diverticulitis.?ÿ I thought I was having an appendicitis or someone twisting a knife in my guts.

Anyway the doc asked if I ever had morphine.?ÿ I told him no.?ÿ Five minutes after the shot I felt fine.?ÿ I always thought that drugs like morphine would make a person drunk or sloppy.?ÿ Nope.?ÿ I felt fine.

I told the nurse they ought to use that stuff as a painkiller.... ;)?ÿ

@paden-cash?ÿ

I had a knee fixed they gave me a little button that released morphine for pain. I hit that button in the middle of the night and that was it; puked for hours.?ÿ

Way back in my 20's I underwent a root canal.?ÿ The dentist gave me nitrous oxide to keep me relaxed.?ÿ He didn't need that.?ÿ His dental assistant was a charming delight who didn't believe in certain undergarments and a front porch that would kill a dozen dogs if it collapsed.

@holy-cow?ÿ

?ÿ

I had a root canal several years ago where the dentist was a good looking blond and her assistant an even better looking brunette. The dentist talked thru most of it, and it dawned on me that the assustant had been holding my hand and tapping on my arm also. At least I think it was a root canal.?ÿ

Last June I broke two ribs and was given Hydrocodone pain pills.?ÿ First time I've taken an opiate.?ÿ They dulled the pain somewhat and there were no side effects except a feeling of wooziness/sleepiness.?ÿ I switched to Motrin on the second day and it was just as effective.?ÿ The instruction sheet they gave me was unusual in that over and over again (take more than one at a time, more often than instructed, etc.) it stated in big bold text "You could die".

@mightymoe You must be allergic to it.?ÿ My wife was an ICU nurse for several years.?ÿ When the "pain pumps" came out they were surprised that the total dosage of painkillers given went down.?ÿ Evidently smaller doses given more frequently gives better relief than larger doses less frequently.?ÿ Of course the pumps do have limiting software too.

They gave me intravenous lidocaine and morphine and the pain did not go away. So they gave me toradol. That stuff was amazing and better yet it is not an opiate. Toradol for short term severe pain relief is highly recommended by me. Even more highly recommended is don't do anything to cause yourself severe short term pain.
