Dude! Sorry to hear it happened but glad you caught it in time. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Man, glad you made it! Take care and get better.
Wish you a speedy recovery Roadhand.
>...and should be able to go home either late today or sometime Saturday.
It don't matter if the boss wants you back Monday...tell him the 'Beerleggers' gave you the rest of the month off.
DDSM;-)

I tried that...heart attack and stent in September, laid off in November because my billings were down :-O
RH I am glad that you made it thru and and can tell us about your recovery.
Get Well Soon
WOW, RH, Glad your ok and still kicking. Get the bottle of bayer! Refocus on the important and live with no regrets. Cheers
Roadhand
It is seven months since my heart attack/Quad bypass and yesterday I was setting steel rod for R/W at elevation 6000 Ft in rocky Little Hells Canyon AZ. It was my first field day since the operation. The past seven months have been a careful diet and a couple nights each week exercising. It is nice to know I am still capable.
Take it seriously and rethink your world. oh yeah at the end of the day I had my first beer since the operation, figured I earned it.

That stinks!:-(
Heart attack, but still posting. Can't keep a good surveyor down.
Glad you are going to survive.
Well, it's good to hear you are OK.
However, your heart is trying to tell you something......work with the docs to figure out what it is. It could be hereditary, could be diet, could be stress.
My best friend's father died from a heart attack at age 52. Sure enough, my friend had a heart attack at exactly the same age.
Keep well.....Dallas needs you to root them on if they're ever going to catch those Black Hawks.
[sarcasm]I'm figuring you had it coming- what given all the "heart Attacks" you've caused the unsuspecting who innocently click on your links!!!!![/sarcasm]
Anyway- glad to hear you made it to treatment. Get well and make the necessary adjustments....
I'll guard your wallet for you while you're recuperating.
yuk-yuk!
Get well soon.
Heart attack!! Holy !@#$!!!!
:-O o.O 🙁 :-/ Wow!! Yikes!!! Our poor Roadhand!! :'(
Take care of yourself, Roadhand.
Damn dude.
Thanks everyone. I was still sedated when I made the original post. They did not let me go home the same day , lol. It was actually Sunday night when i was discharged.
The bad news is, that I am a dumass. The world is saturated with dont smoke, excercise often, eat healthy, yadayadayadada. I was too "smart" for all of that nonsense and lo and behold... I was wrong. Had the Dallas Stars not been on the west coast Thursday night with a 9:30PM puck drop, I surely would have been asleep when this occured and my wife and kids would have found me dead in the morning. I have done some pretty foolish things in my life, but putting them in a position where that would be a possibility is by far the worst and I can not apologize to them enough for doing that to them.
The good news is that I get a do over. I realize that only a few get that opportunity and although I probably am not deserving of it, I was lucky enough to get it. It will not be squandered. I have some serious lifestyle changes that I have to make, and I will make. Day by day, week by week, year by year. Failure is not an option.
The better news is, after nearly thirty years of smoking, I smoked my last cigarette last thursday night, in the midst of a heart attack. Never again. Its a shame that it took this to make me open my eyes, but like I said before, I am used to be a dumass.
Glad you're moving in a forward direction Roadie!!!! Get better bro! You got that wedding and all to contend with.
Robert,
Congratulations on your new life decisions. I'm sorry it took what it did to get you there. Hopefully your efforts of sharing your story and decisions herein will help us all take stock in our own lives and look at decisions to better ourselves.
Cheers bud.... Here's to a great recovery and making the best of that second chance!

I finally quit in 2010 after smoking for 42 years. The genetics of my family are such that it doesn't seem to hit us as hard as some or I could have well been in similar circumstances as you found yourself. Take care and do what you need to do to make it back in full.B-)
