you MS boys are allowed to laugh!!

Had a great day in the field yesterday. Overcast, 75 degrees and the owner had just bushogged the 10' tall bamboo lining the river banks. It was a good day.

I know, I know ....

picky, picky, picky. But never hold onto a tripod leg once the instrument is set up. Maybe you were done and getting ready to pack it up, but the pic just looks wrong.

Sorry about this - can't help curmudgeonly self.

Us guys that do much of our work in Metro Area envy the guys that work in your part of the State. I would bet that you did not deal with a panhandler or a hooker all day either.

On the plus side, when you work in the city your lunch is delivered to the jobsite

Ye Olde Roache Coache

Worked one place for a few years with such a truck arriving daily. Some choices were delectable, others were a mystery.

I get a mix of both here in Oconee County. We work in areas from the wilds of Elbert County to the medium sized city of Athens all the way to the outskirts of Atlanta. I much prefer the rural areas even with the threat of bigfoot out there! 😛

I'd rather work along that river than along the Mississippi.

That's either

below the dam or up around Dawson County. The Etowah in Cherokee County is about the most meandering river I have ever seen.

Beautiful sight! Here in my State the rivers don't have water in them for more than a few hours several times a year...

Due to permitting and ordinance, food trucks in the metro area are usually found in food truck parks and not everywhere throughout the city. I look forward to this changing. We currently have the Beltline Project that has a goal of making the City more connected. I must admit that I was very skeptical about it when it started; however, I am definitely seeing positive changes in some of our older neighbourhoods. I will always prefer the rural areas, but is good to see improvements in the City.

That's either

Andy,

We are down river from the dam. We are directly across the river from Plant Bowen, but upstream from the intake and discharge. Really a nice area to be. A couple of really old family grave sites from the first families that settled the area and very rich with Cherokee (Coosa Nation) history.
