Brush line of course. Also go for walks with SWMBO. That's about it for me.
Oh, just remembered, walked on the tread mill watching Red Wing games in the winter to stay in shape for work.

Jump to conclusions. Fly off the handle. Run off at the mouth. Stretch the truth. Climb the social ladder. Hop on hot fads. Swim circles around the competition. You get the idea.

I'm also a Stairmaster guy, but only 22 minutes a day, plus some pushups. I'm pretty much 7 days a week, though.

Until I tweaked my right elbow a year and a half ago in a rotohammer mishap, I alternated days between pushups and pullups, but pullups are out until that elbow fully heals.

Wife and I like to go for walks every couple of days. In the last year, she's lost about 75 pounds and I've lost about 60 so far.

4-6 times a week the wife and I go to the gym for an hour to do some H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training). Lost 10lbs the first month. Now I have added running 3-6 miles 3 times a week. I also still play ice hockey in the adult leagues.

A long, long time ago when the earth was still young and I was still an idiot, I sarcastically mentioned to SWMBO her housekeeping skills begged improvement. Ever since that remark I have been dutifully cleaning the house on a weekly basis. That’s my exercise program, cleaning house. If you are skeptical as to the “workout” aspect of house cleaning just try it, you’ll see! The satisfaction of sparkling toilets, sinks, floors etc. is tearfully overwhelming.;-)

Y’all have a great week! B-)

Morning PT

This time of year I start my day at 7:30 AM with a little cardio..kick starting and old motorcycle to ride to the office. This gets me up to my target rate and it takes about fifteen minutes. During the ride to work I throw in some workout stretches by turning frequently and flipping off ditzy bleach blonde women in Tahoes talking on the cell phone and pulling out in front of every motorcycle in the county.

Once I get to the office I continue my PT with running around the office several hundred times looking for something that is actually either at my desk or in my hand. This is either my glasses or a job folder, they both work equally well.

After I hydrate by slamming a cup of coffee I return to my cardio activity by answering phone messages and getting pissed. This is augmented with some upper body activity like throwing things and screaming at the top of my lungs.

By now it is usually 9:30 or 10:00 AM and I am through with my morning PT.

I was jokingly going to say 12 oz. curls.
Then it occurred to me that it is about a 1.5 mile or so walk to the beer store.
So I guess I walk 1.5 miles or so about every day.

Anybody..> BigE

Today is day 130 since we stopped smoking after my heart attack in March. I do 30 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on a stationary bike 4 days a week. I have done really well as far as excercise and stopping smoking, unfortunately though you have to eat right or its all for nil, and I havent quite made that commitment yet. I need to do something though because I have actually gained 20 lbs since, so if any of you skinny minnys have a diet that works that you would like to share, please do.

Morning PT

😀 :good:

I can especially relate to the following:

> Once I get to the office I continue my PT with running around the office several hundred times looking for something that is actually either at my desk or in my hand. This is either my glasses or a job folder, they both work equally well.

Get fit in the gym. Lose weight in the kitchen.

> Like to exercise? Workout? whatever you want to call it...if so what do you do?

Cycling, Bodypump, TRX...

I ride 5 miles each way to the Y for Bodypump classes 3x/week and occasionally go in on the other days to swim laps or work out on machines/free weights.

Check out your local YMCA's equipment and fitness class schedule. Classes are great for those needing a little push or lacking in self motivation. Our Y offers a 5:40 a.m. class that fits my schedule perfectly.

FWIW, years of training has taught me weight loss is 90% diet and 10% exercise.

Good luck!

> ....a diet that works that you would like to share, please do.

I joined weight watchers a few years ago and lost 50 pounds. It's not so much about what you eat as it is about how much you eat. They came up with a points system, based on calories, fat and fiber. Basically, 70 calories, 1 gram of fat and 1 gram of fiber=1 point. 2 points is like double the calories but only about half the fat and fiber. You need at least 18 points a day and if you keep it below 30 (for a good sized male) you will lose 3 or 4 pounds a week with diet alone. Once you get closer to your goal, you will need to eat less and start exercising more, but it is a good start.

Keep track of the calories you eat each day and you will be surprised at how much more you are eating than you need to. When I first started, I went to the annual company lunch. I ordered the seafood fettuccine thinking it would be the only thing I would eat that day. When I looked it up latter, it was 3 days worth of points!

You will need to diet, in order to lose weight, but more importantly; you will need to eat right, in order to maintain a healthy weight.

Don't do it for anybody else, do I for yourself.....
