Surveyors come upon all kinds of interesting things in the field. So hopefully this won??t gross anybody out. I just found this in the road at my driveway. Any guess as to what it might be part of? ?ÿWe have all kinds critters walking through here. Opossums, coons, coyotes, bears, cougars and hawks and eagles in the air. The rest of critter is MIA. I??m thinking possum. Any guesses? BTW, this is in the Columbia River Gorge. ?ÿ
If it smells like possum and tastes like possum - It is a possum 😉
Opossum Opossum I am glad I gossum
Maybe a raccoon foot. I suggest take more pics of it, and offer it for sale on Craigslist. Someone NEEDS that leg.
I see potential!

Guessing coon.
Might be oracchuck.
I agree with Nate.?ÿ Too much fur to be a possum.

Shortened form of raccoon appears to make me a potty mouth. ?ÿPeople don't go raccoon hunting at night and the dogs they use are not raccoon dogs. ?ÿJust saying'.
Its a Chupacabra.
Opossums have opposable thumbs on all 4 feet. That appears to have all 5 toes running straight out. Are woozles or hephalumps native to your region?
Looks like a raccoon to me!

You can't discuss a rackitycoon without talking about Ol' Slantface....
"the distance between his eyes was the length of a hammerhandle..."?ÿ 😉

Mind boggling replies.
Looks like regular road kill to me. Might be still fresh enough to eat.
