I go to your web site, and after being there for 15 seconds, a pop up comes up, asking ME for my email, and to like your site. I have not had a chance to develop an opinion, about your site. I already HATE your site, because you asked me pre-maturely.

Pass this on to all your web site makers!!

🙂

Happy rain day!

Nate

I didn't see your comment on my new website, but then again it won't prompt you for anything 😉

Thangs that make me madder than that

I receive a few dozen magazines with a very wide variety of subject matter. Everything from surveying to roads and bridges to hay and forage production to dairy farming. You name it, I'm on someone's mailing list. Mailing list.......no digital nothing. If you don't send it through the mail, I don't want it. I WILL NOT confirm an e-mail address.

My pet peeve is when a good old US magazine hires sweat shop call centers in subtropical Asia to call me to renew my subscription. I refuse to answer any of their questions. Tell them if they want to keep sending it that is OK but I will not answer any questions. If that means they lose a subscriber that is their problem not mine. Let's just say it is very rare that I stop receiving their magazine. Yes, I know all I need to do is renew by sending in the renewal card, but it's much more fun this way. And, some US citizen has a paying job.

In some cases I get several copies of each magazine. It's always the same address but a different name. Sometimes it's a single initial. Sometimes it's a made up name like Skeezix. Sometimes it's someone else's name entirely. In rare cases it's the name my parents gave me. There's a wide range of company names, too. When I get some unsolicited piece of junk mail with one of those odd names or companies I can tell who has been peddling "my" information for a profit. Recently completed some continuing education on line. Big mistake. Get five or more spam-type e-mails every day that relate to that license.
