So did not know where to place this: here or stolen equipment.?ÿ Sent my batteries (2 Topcon 30Q's) to be recelled in a little town just over the line from West Point, GA.?ÿ Their communication skills are non existent.?ÿ Finally had to put in a claim with PayPal after they promised a tracking number on the 27th and I am still waiting and again they will not answer phone calls or emails.

?ÿ

Unacceptable.?ÿ Do NOT send your batteries to Lanett, AL.

?ÿ

Now I need to buy new batteries to replace the two they stole!

Too late for you, but Next time, I would contact Diaz and Diaz electronics. They have rebuilt batteries and made custom cables for me. Super good to deal with, honest and take pride in their work.

Their website is surveybattery.com

.... while I am on the subject, while Diaz and Diaz can make custom cables, Western States can repair and rebuild existing cables, and they are awesome. If you have a little speaker wire size power cable they will send back something the thickness of an extension cord.

JAS, there are two reasons that I did not specifically name them:

1.?ÿ I did not want to give them free advertisement at the expense of Wendall.

2.?ÿ I did not want to risk slandering.

?ÿ

24 hrs after making a claim with ebay, they mailed batteries this AM.?ÿ Suffice it to say that I will never again order batteries from the following missing letters:

H,I,J,K,"_",M,N... "&" U,V,"_",X,Y,Z.?ÿ BATTERY

?ÿ

It is crap when you have to file a claim to get your battery.

?ÿ

Oh, how I found them: online search for battery repair because local battery plus would not do a battery with a fuse built in.

Brother, I'm not asking you to name them and risk a slander situation. I am asking for how did you become aware of them? Do they advertise or otherwise market themselves in the survey repair shops or trade magazines? I know where Lanett Alabama is so maybe that will stick in my head if I need something recelled.

Batteries Plus wouldn't recycle one of our cracked batteries either.?ÿ Seemed really weird for a place that... specializes in batteries.

I had issues with my Subsurface and Dias and Dias did a great job; fixed the problem and cleaned it up like new.?ÿ It was a bit odd sending it to a US address while they are in Canada, but it worked out fine.?ÿ Here is their web site:

http://www.batteryrevival.com/

No competent person would repair OR USE a cracked battery!
