If IL overturns the "stay" on the prevailing wage rates, what does this mean for the time worked on these projects while it was in effect? Is back-pay required?

From the Saturday Board of Direction meeting this is still all in a flux.

My suggestion is to contact the Executive Director

The current Cook County Court decision was that of a "stay" and means the actions the IL Dept of Labor never really happened. Since the PWA was not amended, there shouldn't be any requirement to abide by the previous changes.

It is now up to the DOL to offer a public hearing to continue any process.

There may be future action taken by any individual party wishing to express a desire to explore or revisit the issue (hetre is no known "public" activity at this time); but there must be a public hearing involving all interested parties.....which was not done the last time.

A change of occupancy in the Governor's mansion as a result in this fall's election may have a lot to keep this issue on the back burner.

Having one party rule in both houses and in the Governor's chair can lead to some unfavorable times for those in the oppossing party......likely true for either party when in power....in any state...or nation.

I know in a previous post, where it was stated that the stay was in effect, it was said that there would be another hearing on May 8th. Did that ever take place, and if so, what was the outcome of that?
